For My "Friend"

For My "Friend"

I walk alone in the night,
My only guidance a soft moonlight.
What brins me here, you'll never know.
These secrets I alone bestow.
But if you find how I do sin,
Never again shall we be akin.
For when you are happy and full of life,
My eyes will be piercing as the knife.
But if our friendship does stay afloat,
Then I shall surely sink the boat.

On the poetry note:

I love the imagery of the moonlight, and even the short metaphor of the 'boat' at the end. Very nice and snappy. I like the rhythm too, expect for the line... I can't see the poem right now, but the one about being happy has too many syllables.

On the non-poem note:

That's really sad.... but better out than in I suppose, unless you just wrote that for the heck of it, but for some reasons, I don't think so....
