My Chainmail Belt!!! That's right, I started making chainmail. Joe and I found my dad's old stash and here is my first creation.

Another trend come and gone.

Well, I hoped it would be different, but it wasn't. People started blogs because it was "all the rage." None of my friends post anymore, no one comments. This was indeed just a droplet of wine in a glass. It came and went like a summer shower. Blogging is indeed dead amongst the band geeks at Hurricane High School. I am ashamed.

California.

Well this last week was great. Some parts better than others. I have to give out a HUGE Thank you to Mckray and Christine for not making me feel like a third wheel. I was just the third friend in a group, and not the person following along. The whole trip was quite fun. Like I said, some parts were better. The first night at Disneyland was by far the best. Mckray, Christine, you know what I am talking about. All you other people out there, don't worry about it, I could never describe it and do the memory justice. I must also thank my room mates for making the nights so fun. Ah, and the fourth floor. That was so fun. Just a spot where we could relax, free from everyone else on the trip. When I arrived at the school on Tuesday morning, I was not planning on sitting with anyone, well I was going to sit next to Alex, but shit happens to good people. So anyways, I had no one to sit next to. Aaron or Giffy sat next to me. He was a life saver. I was about to sit next to someone not all that pleasant when he stepped in. You learn a lot about someone in 8 and a half hours. We listened to music, shared wicked awesome guitar solos as they came up, I introduced him to the Neo Classical genre with a little bit of Symphony X. It was fun. The beach was great! I just wish there was the thursday at the beach instead of the park. So the beach. It was great and I had an absolute blast. For a while, Zach, Devin, Trever and I chased the waves and walked along the beach. I was in pants because my swimsuit was under the bus. Eventually I ended up in the water. I don't know exactly how it happened but I was soaked by the end. The second day at Disneyland was fun, but I was a little drained from the night before. The third day was pretty fun also. This day we added a member to our party. Mckennan hung out with us for the day. That was fun too. Oh, and the last night in the hotel was quite fun. I think we may have misused the hotel phones a little, but we had fun. My room had a speakerphone conversation with Christine and sometimes the rest of her room. We were up pretty late... Yeah. So we had a lot of food... So what. It was the perfect kickstart to this summer. I came home a changed man. Mckray, Christine: Thank you so much. You made this trip infinately better than it would have been without you. Oh, and Joe, it is ASIMO not ass-hammer.

Oh my. This is an addition to the original post. I completely forgot about the nights out of the hotel. The first night we got there we went to the Medieval Times Dinner Show. That was a blast. I was in character all night. By wich I mean I was yelling at ever possible chance and hailing and raising my glass. When we got there we were in a line for a few minutes. The king walked past and everyone just sort of looked at him. Me, no. I took a knee and looked down in respect. As he passed he said only "You may rise." It was great. The night was full of yelling and it lead to the eventual losing of my voice. Maybe I over did it... Oh well! I had a fun time doing it! The third night we were there we went to dinner and saw a play. At first I was skeptical. Picture this: We drive into the parking lot of a strip mall. All the building were run down. A bus load of nicely dressed highschool students. Some even in suits, well only one. Everyone is thinking, "Where are we..." I thought, "Oh shit. What did Mo get us into this time." But then we walked inside. It was very odd. It was a fairly nice place. We then walked into the theater/dining area. It was dimly lit and very cool. Most of the group got sat at the very front of the stage. Bad seats. They were right at the bottom of the stage... I heard from Joe "more panties than actual play." A select few of us who happened to be a little slower than the rest of the group was put on the next level up. Right in line with the stage. It was great. I sat with Mckray and Christine. Joe came at the second intermission so that he got more play. The play was Anything Goes and was just delightful. The set changes were nice and quick, and the acting was great. A quite memorable night, even though they used canned music. It was too small of a production it seemed to have a pit. Plus the theater was weird. Well that was the trip. It was great.
